A new encuentro is coming to the Land of Enchantment (La Tierra del Encanto) over Cinco de Mayo weekend.
This is a private, invitation only, role-balanced, and vaccinated tango event for experienced Milonguero style dancers to be hosted in the amazing “New” Las Puertas.
Please note that all COVID protocols that are in place in New Mexico at the time of the Encuentro will be enforced. At this point in time, that means masks will be required. Dancers who wish to participate may complete and submit the Contact Us form on the website. Registration invitations will be sent in January.

Alejandro Ziegler Cuarteto has developed its own danceable style based on the music of the Golden Age tango orchestras. The ensemble recreates the idea of the “Orquesta Tipica”, with a modern sound. Since 2007, the Cuarteto has toured the US and Europe, gaining worldwide recognition for their unique, exciting and danceable sound.
The performance at Las Puertas will begin with a few of Alejandro’s original tangos and the remainder will be the best of the Golden Era.
$15 admission at the door.
